Underneath every forest is a network no one can see. Threads of mycelium, running root to root, tree to tree, feeding the whole from underground long before any single tree knows the others are there. What we believe works the same way. Each belief below looks separate on the surface. Underneath, they are one root system, breathing together.

The Root: Original IntelligenceEvery person is born with an innate, embodied knowing, older than written language, older than any religion built after it. It lives in the breath, the bones, the gut, the senses. We hold gnosis, direct felt knowing, above knowledge handed down secondhand. What you come to know in your own body is trusted here over what any book, teacher, or tradition tells you to believe.
The Rhythm: Cyclical TimeTime here is not a line running from birth to death and stopping. It is non-linear, circular, folding back on itself, the way a season returns instead of ending. Every person carries both the divine feminine and divine masculine within them, regardless of gender, and we honor the sacred marriage of these two forces as it lives inside each member. This is natriarchy: nature's own rhythm as the governing authority, not any human hierarchy.
the Thresholds: Rites of PassageBirth, coming of age, union, elderhood, death, every threshold deserves ceremony, witness, and tending. What happens after this life belongs to each person's own knowing. We hold that question with reverence and without dogma, and we do not answer it for anyone.
The Agreement: Trust the Hold, Hold the TrustPresent moment awareness is the only sacred law this Society holds, and it is not imposed from outside, it is felt from within. To trust the hold is to let go of managing what might happen, and stay in this breath instead. To hold the trust is to meet what another person brings, without trying to fix it, rush it, or turn away.
The Ground: The Earth Is AliveEarth, water, air, and fire are relations, not resources. This recognition has a name: animism. It is the oldest spiritual orientation of the human species, present on every continent before it was buried, renamed, or forbidden. We did not invent this. We are one small return to it, alongside every people who has found their way back.
The Thread: Lineage, Kin and KithYou do not walk alone. Every person carries the wisdom and wounds of those who came before. We honor kin, the family born into by blood or land, and kith, the family chosen, in equal measure. We decide by asking one question: what does this mean for seven generations?
Origin: Right RelationshipThe animist root at the heart of this practice belongs to no single people. But its living, unbroken practice today belongs most directly to indigenous traditions, who were never fully severed from it. We draw from these lineages with humility, without ownership, and direct real resources toward indigenous-led work and land return.
The Root Beneath the Rule: NatriarchyNatriarchy centers the authority of nature and cycle, not the authority of any gender. Not matriarchy standing in for patriarchy, just a different hierarchy in charge, but the recognition that the Earth's own rhythms are the rightful governing intelligence. Every structure the Society builds (ceremony, ritual, leadership, decisions, etc.) answer to the land before it answers to any person. The circle itself has no head, only a center everyone stays accountable to.
The Shape: The Sacred Circle, EverywhereThe circle is not only the ring we gather in. It is the atom and its particles circling a center too small to see. It is the ovum, the circle every human body begins from. It is the yoni, the sacred circle that receives and gives birth to life. From the smallest scale to the largest, creation keeps returning to the same shape. We honor the macro and the micro.
The Body: The First TempleThe body is holy, in every form it takes. It is the original altar, the ground where spirit and matter meet. We honor plant medicine as sacred, and hold this alongside a further recognition : the human body itself is the most sacred plant medicine there is, the medicine most people spend their lives seeking outside themselves.
The Practice: How We GatherEvery gathering begins in circle and ends in circle, an actual circle, bodies in the round, opened and closed with one shared breath. Children and care sit at the center, not the edge. This is not only ceremony. It is how we live, all day, every day, choosing again and again to meet whoever is in front of us.
The Door: Who BelongsThe door is open to all who are ready to trust the hold and hold the trust in return. Not to all who simply wish to belong, but to all who arrive willing to meet this moment, and each other, with an open heart and an open mind. Race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, economic status, family structure, none of that decides who's welcome. Only readiness does. Belonging is not earned here. It is practiced, every time, by everyone in the circle.
