Society of the Sacred Circle

This is a yearly commitment, a standing invitation into the circle. Once you're in, you're a keeper of that container, same as everyone else standing in the circle.

Who this is for

The door is open to all who are called, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, economic status, or family structure. Come as you are, in whatever body, in whatever breath you carry.

What's asked of you

Two things are at the forefront. Trust the hold : let the container hold you, the way breath surrenders into the body without needing to be forced. Hold the trust: what's shared in the circle stays in the circle, met without judgment. That's the whole of it. Not a doctrine. A practice, renewed every time you show up.

Yearly Membership Donation

Sliding scale, $111 - $111,111 per year

Give what genuinely fits your circumstance. Your donation includes standing in the community, access to open gatherings, and eligibility to attend SOSC events. Some gatherings and rites of passage carry their own additional cost or suggested donation beyond your membership donation.

The Society of the Sacred Circle is organized as a California Nonprofit Religious Corporation.

This is the legal standing that protects ceremony, ordination, and rites of passage as real spiritual practice, the same standing held by any church or temple. Depending on your tax situation, gifts and membership contributions to the Society may be tax-deductible. We're not able to give individual tax advice, so please check with your accountant or tax preparer about what applies to you.

About events

Some gatherings, ceremonies, and rites of passage carry their own cost or suggested donation beyond membership itself, this covers the land, the materials, and the people holding the space. Membership is what makes you eligible to attend. What each specific gathering costs will be listed when it's announced. None are turned away for lack of funds.

One-Time Gifts

Not ready for a yearly commitment, or want to give beyond your membership? One-time gifts of any amount go directly toward holding ceremony, tending the land, healing our communities forward and backward, and building toward our Retreat Center.
